Who we are

Crypto Clarity Collective is a crypto safety education publication operated by CNSPlanet (Computer Network Systems), a sole proprietorship. We publish a newsletter, free educational resources, research tools and courses focused on helping people avoid crypto scams and fraud.

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit cryptoclaritycollective.com or subscribe to our newsletter, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

Information you give us

Your email address. When you subscribe to the newsletter, download a free resource such as the 12 Red Flags checklist, or create an account for a paid tier, we collect the email address you enter. That is the only piece of information we require.

Optional information. If you reply to an email, fill in a survey or poll, or contact us directly, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message.

Payment information for paid subscriptions. If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and your subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

Standard web logs. Our web host and security software record IP addresses, browser type, device type, referring page and timestamps. This is used to keep the site running and to block malicious traffic.

Analytics. We use analytics software to understand which pages and articles people read, how visitors arrive, and where they leave. This is aggregate reporting. We do not use it to build a profile of you as an individual.

Email engagement. Our newsletter platform records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this to judge which subjects are useful and to stop sending to addresses that have gone inactive.

Advertising and tracking pixels

We run paid advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Reddit to reach people who may benefit from our free scam-prevention resources. To measure whether those ads work, our site contains the Meta Pixel and the Reddit Pixel.

These pixels record that a visit or a newsletter signup came from a particular ad, and they may set cookies in your browser. They allow Meta and Reddit to report anonymized, aggregate results back to us, such as how many people who saw an ad went on to download a checklist.

If you would rather not be tracked this way:

• Use your browser’s cookie controls or a tracking blocker
• Adjust your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences
• Adjust your Reddit ad settings under Reddit Account Settings, Privacy
• Send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal from your browser, which we honor as an opt out request where technically supported

Blocking these pixels does not affect your ability to read the site, subscribe, or download anything.

How we use your information

We use what we collect to:

• Deliver the newsletter and the free resources you asked for
• Send the automated welcome sequence after you subscribe
• Operate paid subscriptions and provide access to paid content
• Understand which articles and resources are worth writing more of
• Measure whether our advertising is working
• Keep the site secure and functioning
• Reply to you when you contact us

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We never have and we do not intend to.

We do not rent, trade or share your email address with other publishers, advertisers or list brokers.

We do not send you crypto investment offers, token promotions or paid placements disguised as editorial. Crypto Clarity Collective exists because that behavior harms people.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that make the publication run, and only to the extent they need it to do their job:

• Beehiiv, our email platform, which stores subscriber email addresses and delivers the newsletter
• Our payment processor, for paid subscriptions
• Our web host and security provider, which process server logs
• Analytics and advertising platforms, as described in the two sections above
• Content distribution platforms including YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, where we publish our own educational content

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect the safety or rights of our readers or ourselves.

TikTok integration

We use TikTok’s Content Posting API to publish educational video content to our TikTok account. This integration does not collect, store, or process any TikTok user data. We do not access any TikTok user accounts, profiles, or personal information. The integration is used solely to post our own content to our own TikTok account.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your address is retained in a suppression list so that we do not accidentally email you again. If you would prefer to be deleted entirely rather than suppressed, tell us and we will do that instead.

Server logs are retained for a short operational period. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.

Your choices and your rights

Unsubscribe at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link in the footer. It works immediately and you do not need to explain yourself.

Ask what we hold. Email us and we will tell you what information is associated with your address.

Ask us to correct or delete it. Email us and we will do it.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA and CPRA to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. As stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense those laws define, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we will remove the record.

Security

We use HTTPS across the site, a web application firewall, and reputable third party providers for email and payments. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of personal information we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection we can offer you.

International transfers

Our service providers are based in the United States. If you subscribe from outside the US, your email address will be stored and processed there.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that meaningfully affects you, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the newsletter.
